As our journey across the Atlantic reached its final stop, we raised our glasses to a spirited partnership with one of New Orleans’ most revered institutions. On Thursday 2nd October, Saltire Rare Malt hosted its third and final US launch event at Dickie Brennan & Co, and what better way to mark the occasion than with a bespoke cocktail that’s as bold and vibrant as the city itself.
Crafted by Susie Bohnstengel, Mixologist & Spirits Educator at Dickie Brennan’s, The Second Line is a tribute to New Orleans tradition: a procession of flavour following the whisky that leads the way.

Just as the first line of a New Orleans parade sets the tone, our 14 Year Old Single Malt forms the heart of this cocktail. The result? A whisky-first serve that nods to heritage, while stepping to its own rhythm.

The creation captures what we love most about whisky; its ability to unite, surprise and evolve. It's a fitting close to our American introduction and a reminder that while the spirit may begin in the Highlands, its influence can dance far beyond.
