Candied orange peel, next to an earthy note of carrot cake, strange but funny!
Then clover honey, dark treacle, barley sugar and a surprising note of sweet dried hay. The taste adds some milk chocolate. Beautiful, round body. The finish has fruit with hints of dried cherries. A very intriguing dram: a fruity melange in a traditional sweetgrass basket.

A little piece of history
This distillery was founded in 1876 by a group of local business men, spearheaded by John Duff, formerly manager at Glendronach Distillery. In 1919 DCL (the forerunner of Diageo) took over and has run Glenlossie since. Nearly a century later its sibling distillery Mannochmore was founded by the same owner at the same premises. Up until 2007 they ran up as a tandem, sharing the workforce. As of 2008 each distillery has its own manager and crew. Glenlossie is a main component in Haig’s blended whisky, but luckily can be found with the odd independent bottler. As an official distillery bottling Glenlossie can be found in the famed Flora & Fauna series.
